Pages
Every page of your site is a route, such as /, /pricing or /docs/setup.
You manage pages from the top of the page workbench in Design.
Choosing a page
The page picker at the top of the workbench shows the page you are editing. Open it to see:
- Site pages: your main pages. A page whose path sits under another
page's path, such as
/docs/setupunder/docs, is shown nested beneath it. - Legal & system: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, any page you have marked as a system page, and Not found.
The order of pages in the picker is the order used wherever Qanvas lists them. To change it, ask the AI, for example "Move /pricing before /features".
Adding a page
Choose New page... at the bottom of the page picker. Qanvas adds a page called New page with its own path, starts it with a Hero block, and adds a link to it in the header navigation. Rename it and change its path in Page settings.
You can also ask the AI to add pages, for example "Add a /about page that tells our founding story". Once your brief is complete, it can plan and build several pages at once.
Page settings
Below the page picker, Page settings shows the selected page's path and its options.
Route
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Slug | The page's path, such as /pricing or /docs/setup. It must start with / and cannot be used by another page. |
| Page type | Site or System. A System page is listed under Legal & System and not linked from the header. |
SEO
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | The page's name in Qanvas and its default browser title. Required. |
| SEO title | An optional title for search results and browser tabs. The counter suggests staying within 60 characters. |
| Description | The page's meta description for search results and link previews. |
| Search engines | Show or Hide. A hidden page is left out of the sitemap and marked noindex. |
The site-wide defaults, such as the title template, are in SEO and social sharing.
Layout
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Header | Show or Hide the site header on this page |
| Footer | Show or Hide the site footer on this page |
Removing a page
Select Remove page at the bottom of Page settings. Removing a page also removes its blocks. Qanvas asks you to confirm, and offers to Also remove link from Global Header navigation. Select Delete route to remove it, or Keep page to cancel.
The Home page (/) cannot be removed. The Terms of Service and Privacy
Policy pages keep their reserved paths.
The Not found page
Not found is the page visitors see when they open an address that does not exist. Until you customise it, your site uses a plain built-in not-found page.
Select Not found in the page picker to create an editable version, then change it like any other page. It is never linked from your navigation and is always hidden from search engines. To go back to the built-in version, select Reset to default.
Docs and article pages
Pages under a common path that each hold an Article block, such as
/docs/getting-started and /docs/ai-key, automatically get a sidebar
listing every page in that section, plus previous and next links. The
sidebar follows the page order in the picker and uses each page's title, so
reorder or rename pages to change it. There is nothing to set up, and you do
not need to add links between these pages yourself.
