Project settings

Open Settings with the gear icon in the top-right of the header, or press Ctrl+, / ⌘,. The left rail has two groups:

  • Project: General, SEO & Social and Assets. These belong to the open project and are saved with it.
  • Qanvas: Appearance, AI Engine and License. These apply to Qanvas on this computer.

Project settings changes go into your unsaved draft like any other edit. Select Save to keep them.

General

Site Identity & Branding

Public site URLThe address your site will live at, such as https://example.com, without a path. Optional, but needed for sitemap.xml, canonical URLs and social share images.

Favicon & browser icon

The icon shown in browser tabs. The preview shows it at 16px and 32px against light and dark browser chrome, so you can check it reads well in both.

  • Change asset opens your project's assets. Choose an image or upload a new one. SVG gives the sharpest result.
  • Reset to default branding clears your favicon.

When you export, the favicon is written into the project, and Qanvas also renders a 180×180 Apple touch icon from it on your theme's page background, because iOS shows transparent pixels as black.

Project storage & location

Local directory shows the folder that holds this project inside your Qanvas data folder, for example projects/my-site. It anchors the project's assets, URLs and exports, and does not change.

Danger zone

Delete Project... permanently removes the project and its files from disk. To confirm, type the project's ID.

SEO & Social

Site-wide search titles, descriptions and the social share image. See SEO and social sharing.

Assets

The project's asset library: every image and video you have uploaded.

  • Upload, or drop a file anywhere in the library. Images can be PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB. Videos can be MP4 or WebM, up to 15 MB.
  • Search assets by name and sort them by Newest, Name or Size.
  • Select an asset to see where it is Used in: the saved pages that reference it, or Not used on any page.
  • Copy path copies the asset's path for use in a link or field.
  • Enlarge an asset to preview it, or delete it.

The same library opens wherever you pick an image, such as the favicon, the social share image, or an image field in the Inspector.

Appearance

Qanvas cockpit theme: System, Light or Dark. This changes how Qanvas itself looks, not your site.

AI Engine

Your AI provider keys and engine model. See Add your AI key.

License

  • Customer profile: your Display name and Email. They pre-fill support tickets and feedback reports you send from Qanvas.
  • Plan & licensing: your edition. Manage License & Machine Registration opens the licence window. See Editions and licensing.
