SEO and social sharing
Qanvas writes search and sharing metadata into every exported page. You set site-wide defaults in Settings → SEO & Social, and per-page values in each page's settings in Design.
Site-wide defaults
Open Settings and select SEO & Social.
AI SEO Generator
Fills in your search title template and meta description from your content.
- Synthesize writes them with your configured AI provider. It needs an AI key; until one is saved it shows BYOK required and Configure API keys.
- derive from content builds them from your site's existing content locally, with no AI and no cost.
If your brief is missing information the copy depends on, Qanvas tells you which fields to add in the Blueprint before you synthesize again. If the provider fails, select Derive instead.
Search & browser metadata
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Page title template | How page titles appear in browser tabs and search results. %s is replaced by the page title, so %s | Acme gives Pricing | Acme. |
| Default meta description | The description search results and social cards use when a page has none of its own. The counter suggests staying within 160 characters. |
Social Share Image (OG Image)
The image shown when someone shares a link to your site on X, LinkedIn, Slack, Facebook and other platforms. Recommended size: 1200 × 630 px.
Select Choose asset to pick or upload an image from your project's assets.
Social platforms need the image's full web address, so the exported site includes the share image only when you have set a Public site URL in General.
Live preview simulator
Preview how your site appears on Google, X / Twitter and OpenGraph-based platforms, using your title template, description, favicon and share image.
Per-page SEO
Select a page in Design and open the SEO section of its Page settings:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | The page title, inserted into the title template |
| SEO title | An optional title used instead, for search results and browser tabs. The counter suggests staying within 60 characters. |
| Description | This page's meta description |
| Search engines | Hide leaves the page out of the sitemap and marks it noindex |
Length counters are advice only. They never block saving or exporting.
Sitemap and robots
Every export includes robots.txt. When you have set a Public site URL,
the export also includes sitemap.xml, references it from robots.txt, and
adds canonical URLs to your pages. Pages hidden from search engines, and the
Not found page, are left out of the sitemap.
Favicon
The favicon is set in Settings → General. See Project settings.
